PVV firm on state pension age
The PVV will accept an increase in the state pension age from 65 to 66 but will absolutely not agree to linking the retirement age to life expectancy, PVV MP Tony van Dijck said during a parliamentary debate on Wednesday.
And if the minority cabinet insists on making that link, it will have to look for support elsewhere in parliament, Van Dijck said.
The coalition agreement, which was drawn up with the PVV, states that the state pension will rise to 66 but says nothing about life expectancy linkage.
That suggestion comes from a deal worked out by unions and employers organisations.
