The Eagles’ classic Hotel California has finally bumped Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody off the number one position in Radio 2’s traditional Top 2000 chart.

Bohemian Rhapsody has dominated the chart since 1999, but slipped off the top spot in 2005 to make way for Boudewijn de Groot’s Avond, which is now in third place.
Radio 2 said almost two million people helped compile the ranking by submitting their personal top 10s. The full 2,000 records will be played between December 25 and 31.
