Healthcare workers will have to work longer for the same pension
Healthcare workers will have to work an extra four months to be able to retire on the same pension, while new staff will have to work on for an extra seven, the PGGM fund said on Tuesday.
The decision to reduce the pension build-up follows an increase in life expectancy, the Financieele Dagblad reports. Premiums are also being increased 0.3%.
The pension fund represents some two million people and has €98bn in assets.
The FD says this is the first time a Dutch pension fund has said people will have to work longer to qualify for a full pension.
