Airline Air France-KLM books €1bn first-half profit
Airline Air France-KLM booked net profit of just over €1bn in the first six months of its current book year, despite disruption caused by the Icelandic volcano eruption.
A year earlier, the airline booked a loss of €573m.
Sales were up 15% to €12.3bn, KLM said.
‘In the context of a more favourable economic environment, all the strategic actions we have undertaken over the past year have enabled us to return to profit,‘ CEO Pierre-Henri Gourgeon said in a statement.
