Seven organisations break aid group limit on director pay

Seven Dutch aid groups currently pay their directors more than a top level civil servant, according to foreign ministry calculations.

From next year, aid groups which pay their directors more than €124,000 a year will not be eligible for government grants, Nos tv says.
The seven include the Red Cross and Dutch development organisation SNV, the Dutch Insitute for the Tropics, the Dutch employers Cooperation Programme, Pharm Access Foundation and the Dutch arms of the Global Reporting Initiative and Unesoc´s Institute for Water Education.
The ministry looked at the pay structure of 106 organisations which were given grants of more than €500,000.
