More marriages break down
Some 25% of couples who got married at the beginning of the 1990s will divorce within 20 years, the national statistics office CBS said on Wednesday.
Just one in six of marriages which took place in the 1970s end in divorce, the CBS said.
Some 85% of women and 75% of men polled by the CBS said they wanted to get married, including 90% of those who live together with a partner.
