World and Olympic speed skating champion Sven Kramer will not take part in this year’s national championships in early November or the first World Cup races of the season, a spokesman for the TVM skating team said on Wednesday.

Kramer said at the end of the last season that he planned to reduce his performances this year because he was exhausted.
His priorities this year are the European and World allround events, both of which he has won four times.
