Agis loses independence within Achmea health group

Health insurance company Agis is to lose its independence within the giant Achmea group, two years earlier than planned, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Friday.

Achmea took over Agis in 2008 and said the company would remain independent for at least five years.
Last month, Achmea announced it is taking over the Friesland health insurance company with a similar commitment.
Agis and Achmea have 4.7 million policyholders between them. The Friesland will add a further 500,000.
