September was cool and wet

Temperatures in September were below the seasonal average and rainfall was slightly higher, the KNMI weather bureau said on Thursday.


The average temperature in September reached 13.6 Celsius, 0.7 Celsius below the long-term temperature. And there were just six days when the temperature topped 20 Celsius, compared with 10 in a normal September.
Most rain fell in coastal areas – up to 140 mm in places. But in the south, rainfall totalled 50 mm.
