First mad cow case in over two years
Mad cow disease or BSE has been identified in a 10-year-old cow, the farm ministry confirmed on Friday.
The cow was tested as part of a routine procedure at an abattoir. The last time a cow with mad cow disease was identified in the Netherlands was May 2008.
Last year, vets carried out tests for BSE on 405,000 cows.
