In total, they expect claims from private households to total €4m.
On Thursday, the rain was particularly heavy in the central urban belt and east of the country. The A1 motorway was closed for a time on Thursday evening because of flooding.
Localised flooding on Friday was severe in Twente with cellars and tunnels under water, news agency ANP said.
