Max is the most popular name for dogs in the Netherlands with Tijger and Tijgertje leading the way for cats, according to research by an animal insurance company.

And while Luna is the number two choice for dogs, it is also the number four for cats.
Diesel, Bo and Lady complete the dogs’ list. Gizmo, Simba and Tommy make up the top five cat names. The research is based on information from 100,000 policy holders.
