Eurlings signs up for A74
Acting transport minister Camiel Eurlings on Monday signed the agreement on the route of the A74 which will link Venlo to the German motorway network.
The agreement was also signed by junior transport minister Tineke Huizinga and farm minister Gerda Verburg, reports the Volkskrant.
The new motorway, which has faced stiff opposition, will be six kilometres long with nearly half on Dutch ground and is scheduled for completion in 2012 when the Floriade world horticultural exhibition is to be held.
