Dutch get help in Hollywood
The Dutch consular general in California has set up a network of filmmakers who have made it in Hollywood to mentor young compatriots trying to break in to the US film industry.
The Holland Hollywood Connection already has fifty volunteers, among them Paul Verhoeven and Jan de Bont.
The network will select ten promising newcomers and couple them with a mentor, project leader Lian Dalhuisen told NRC.
A website is already up and running with practical tips, including how to make an ‘elevator pitch’ in 60 seconds.
