Dutch Caribbean islands brace themselves for hurricane Earl
The Dutch islands of Sint Maarten, Saba and Sint Eustatius are bracing themselves for the arrival of hurricane Earl which is forecast to hit the northern Caribbean region later on Monday.
Schools and windows have been closed and curfew has been imposed. Flights have been cancelled since Sunday afternoon.
The US national hurricane center said on Sunday Earl had strengthened into a category two hurricane with winds of 160 kph.
