Ajax to play Dynamo Kiev for a Champions League place
Ajax has drawn Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev in the last round of the Amsterdammers’ campaign for a place in the Champions League.
According to Nos tv, Dynamo has met Dutch clubs 10 times in European competition. The last time was in 2002 when they knocked out Feyenoord.
The first leg will take place on 17 or 18 August with the return match a week later.
The ten winners of the play-offs will join the 22 automatic entrants – including Dutch league champions FC Twente – in the Champions League group stage. The losers will take part in the Europa League group stage.
