Two jailed for multi-million euro childcare fraud
Two men have been jailed for three and 4.5 years for masterminding a massive fraud involving child minding agencies, news agency ANP reports.
In total the fraud cost the state €7m, the public prosecution department said.
The men claimed subsidies for child minding agencies which did not exist and higher fees than were actually being charged.
