Two arrested in 1996 rose girl mystery
German police have arrested two men in connection with the unsolved rape and murder of a young woman in Lottum, Limburg in 1996, news agency ANP reports.
But Dutch police declined to say if they now know the identity of the young woman, who became known as the rose girl because her body was found in an area where roses are grown.
One man, aged 56, was arrested in Cologne last week after a DNA match. A second man, aged 46, was arrested in Cologne at the weekend.
