Striker Ahmed Hossam, better known as Mido, is joining Amsterdam football club Ajax on a free transfer from Middlesborough.

Mido, 27, previously played for the Amsterdammers between 2001 and 2003 and knows coach Martin Jol from his days at Tottenham Hotspur.
AZ’s Mounir El Hamdaoui (26) is also moving to Amsterdam despite a reported dispute over his €5m price tag, the Telegraaf confirms on Monday.
El Hamdaoui, top scorer in the Dutch league in the 2008/09 season, has agreed to move to Ajax on a four-year contract.
Ajax has a crucial Champions League qualifier against PAOK of Greece on Wednesday.
