Marijuana plantation with one million cuttings dismantled
Police have dismantled a massive marijuana plantation with 10,000 mature plants and one million cuttings, RTL news reported on Thursday.
Five Bulgarian nationals who worked in the greenhouse complex, near Etten Leur, have been arrested.
The marijuana plants, some up to three metres high, were surrounded by tomatoes and cucumbers.
Police, who made the find following a tip-off, have not ruled out further arrests. It is a ‘very big find’, a spokesman said.
According to free newspaper Spits, the owner of the greenhouse has denied knowing about the plants. He claims to have rented that part of the greenhouse to the Bulgarians, the paper said.
