Consumer protection body fines phone text service €1.19m
The consumer protection body Consumentenauthoriteit has fined a mobile phone text message service €1.19m for misleading thousands of phone users.
Celldorado advertises phone services via internet and television – including games and screensavers.
But subscribers end up being saddled with expensive text services which they find it very difficult to get rid of, the Telegraaf reported.
The authority has been investigating Celldorado since April 2009.
