VVD biggest party among Dutch expats

Dutch nationals living abroad are most likely to vote for the Liberal party VVD, according to a poll of 2,300 expats by Radio Netherlands.


Of those polled, 21% said they would vote VVD, in line with previous elections. But support for the Christian Democrats has plummeted from 11% to 6%, well below the party’s support in the Netherlands.
Labour is the expat’s number two, with 19% planning to vote for Job Cohen’s party. D66 is third with 16%, GroenLinks has 13% and the anti-Islam PVV 9%.
