Long-awaited DSB bankruptcy report published on Tuesday
The formal results of an independent probe into the collapse of DSB bank last October will be formally presented on Tuesday morning.
The report was commissioned by former finance minister Wouter Bos shortly after the empire of businessman Dirk Scheringa fell apart. DSB’s bankruptcy was prompted by unease over over-selling mortgages, which led to a run on the bank.
The report will aim to answer why DSB went bankrupt and who was responsible. Insiders say the Dutch central bank and financial sector regulator AFM are expected to be criticised for their role in the bankruptcy
