Employers organisation VNO-NCW has changed its statutes so that its chairman Bernard Wientjes can stay on for a third term, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Friday.

The organisation’s board has asked Wientjes to remain in the job because of the unstable political and economic situation facing the Netherlands, the paper said.
Therefore it is important to have an experienced chairman with a large network, who knows what the big issues are and how to deal with politicians.
