Early rush hour forecast as Oranje take on Slovakia at World Cup

The ANWB motoring organisation is forecasting an early evening rush hour on Monday as football fans head home to watch the Netherlands play Slovakia in the World Cup.

The match begins at 1600 hours and traffic will begin backing up from around 1400, the organisation said on Monday.
According to Dutch media reports Rafael van der Vaart is doubtful for the starting line-up after possibly pulling a small calf muscle during training at the weekend.
Nor has coach Bert van Marwijk ruled out including Arjen Robben in the starting line-up. ‘I talk to him every day and I will do so again before the Slovakia match,’ Van Marwijk told news agency ANP.

Performance

Van Marwijk said he had made it clear to the team a performance like the second half against Cameroon would not get them into the quarter finals.
‘Against Denmark and Japan I did not think we could lose. But against Cameroon, the team took it easy after we took the lead. That cannot happen again,’ he said.
At the last World Cup, Oranje lost to Portugal in the round of 16.
