The four Dutch players appearing at this year’s Wimbledon tennis tournament in London have all made promising first round draws, news agency ANP reports.


Dutch number 1 Robin Haase takes on American James Blake who is currently 110th in the world rankings after a string of injuries. If he wins, Haase could meet number two seed Rafael Nadal in the second round.
Thiemo de Bakker plays Colombian Santiago Giraldo who was knocked out of the quarter finals in Rosemalen on Thursday. Jesse Huta Galung, a surprise Wimbledon player, will meet America’s Brendan Evans.
Arantxa Rus, the only Dutch woman in the tournament, takes on Chang Kai-Chen from Taiwan.
