Central bank chief Nout Wellink will answer MPs questions about the damning report into DSB bank’s bankruptcy in parliament on Wednesday evening.

MPs themselves will debate the report on Thursday. The report said the central bank should never have given DSB a banking licence.
There were ‘so many shortcomings in the leadership and organisation of DSB bank that giving the permit carried too many risks,’ the report said.
Resignation
Socialist and GroenLinks MPs have already said Wellink should resign. The DSB is the latest in a string of financial scandals in which the central bank has come in for criticism.
Earlier it came under fire for its role in the takeover of ABN Amro bank and the collapse of Icelandic savings bank Icesave.
Caretaker finance minister Cees Jan de Jager has told Wellink the bank needs to come up with the plan to drastically improve its operations within one month.
