Victims of abuse by Catholic clerics in the Netherlands have formed an association to strengthen their position in legal procedures, the Volkskrant reports on Tuesday.

The organisation, Mea Culpa, already has some 700 members. ‘If we are a formal organisation, we can act as a collective and we are a stronger opponent to the church and other organisations,’ founder Bert Smeets told the paper.
