The managers of three Albert Heijn to Go stores – which are located at railway stations around the country – are to face criminal charges for refusing to employ workers with Moroccan roots, the AD reports on Friday.

According to the public prosecution department, two men aged 28 from Haarlem and a 50-year-old man from The Hague are guilty of ‘professional discrimination’ and face up to one year in jail.
The case stems from an email exchange between managers and Servex, the company which operates the AH to Go franchises, last year.
