The sole survivor of Wednesday’s air crash in Libya is a nine-year-old boy from Tilburg called Ruben, the foreign affairs ministry confirmed in a statement on Thursday morning.

The child is doing well, given the circumstances the statement said.
An uncle and aunt have now arrived in Tripoli on board a ministry plane and are being taken to hospital to see the boy.
As soon as his health allows, he will be repatriated to the Netherlands, the ministry said.
