Dutch journalist shot in Bangkok

A Dutch journalist has been taken to hospital after being shot in the shoulder during a gun battle between the army and anti-government forces in central Bangkok.

Michel Maas, a correspondent for broadcaster NOS and the Volkskrant, was running away from the fighting when he was shot from behind, the paper says.
The BBC reports that Thai soldiers with armoured vehicles stormed the barricaded camp occupied by anti-government protesters. At least four people have been killed, including an Italian photojournalist, and dozens wounded.
