The nine-year-old Dutch boy who survived last week’s airplane disaster in Libya has arrived back in the Netherlands and been taken to hospital in Tilburg.

No reporters were allowed near the plane when it arrived at Eindhoven’s military airfield and the boy will be kept away from the media while he recovers from his injuries, Nos tv reported.
Ruben van Assouw is the only survivor of the crash which killed his parents and brother, and 100 other people. He was accompanied on his return by his aunt and uncle and the Libyan doctor who has been treating him.
Meanwhile in Tripoli forensic experts are beginning the task of trying to identify all the dead, including 70 Dutch nationals. A team of 20 Dutch forensic scientists arrived in Libya to help six already in the country with the identification process, Nos said.
