Woman faces jail term for blackmailing prime minister
A 48-year-old woman appeared in court on Tuesday charged with attempting to blackmail the prime minister by accusing him of sexual intimidation, the Telegraaf reports.
Cornelia van den B. threatening the prime minister that she would go to the police with the claims unless he paid her a cash sum, the paper says.
The public prosecution department says the woman should face a 110 day suspended sentence but should not be actually jailed because she spent 70 days in custody in the run up to the trial.
