MPs back loan to Greece, if Athens asks for it

A majority of MPs support EU plans to give Greece a €30bn loan, if Athens asks for help, news agency ANP reports.

Despite earlier opposition to a bail-out, MPs have now agreed to back the plan because it requires Greece to first approach the International Monetary Fund for help and the same tough conditions will apply.
All EU countries which have the euro would contribute. The Dutch contribution would be some €1.8bn, ANP said.
