At least 10 Dutch companies were bought up by Russian firms last year, the Financieele Dagblad reports, quoting figures from accountants group KPMG.

Since 2003, 27 Dutch companies have come into Russian hands, out of a total 81 firms which found new owners in developing markets.
The deals include the takeover of tyre maker Vredestein by Ramel and the Russian investment in luxury car maker Spyker, the paper says.
‘The Russian share surprises me,’ Gopal Ramanathan, of KPMG, told the paper. He thinks Russian firms are after the ‘specific expertise’ of Dutch firms.
