Pathe cinemas back down over Alice
The 12 Pathe cinemas complexes in the Netherlands will show Disney’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ film after all, despite an earlier announced boycott, the company said on Monday.
Cinema groups Pathe, Jogchems, Minerva, and Wolff – or some 80% to 85% of the market – said on February 15 they would not show the new film because of plans to bring forward its DVD release.
Pathe did not give details of the agreement. It is not clear if other cinema owners will follow.
