The Hague delays Koolhaas plan vote
The Hague city council has opted not to give the final go ahead to a massive development near the city’s central station until after the March 3 local elections.
The project, by leading architect Rem Koolhaas’s bureau OMA, involves three linked 93-meter towers in front of the station, containing shops, homes and offices.
After a lenghty debate, the city council said more work still needed to be done to flesh out the plan and the risks have not yet been properly calculated. Councillors therefore decided to leave the issue up to the new local authority.
