Rabo Securities may leave Amsterdam
Rabobank’s merchant banking arm Rabo Securities may move from Amsterdam to Utrecht, the NRC reports on Thursday.
But there is no question of a reorganisation and no jobs will be lost, a spokesman told the paper. The operation is based in ‘a very expensive location and we are building a big new building [in Utrecht],’ he said.
Rabo Securities, founded in 1996, is based in the capital but Rabobank itself is headquartered in Utrecht. The company’s IT department, currently based in Zeist, will also move to the new complex, due for completion in 2011, the paper says.
