Nude scanner no longer needs human eye

Body scanners will soon take over entirely from human searches at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport because technology now allows the complete process to be automated, the Telegraaf reports on Thursday.

Body scanners are already in use at the airport but many individuals and EU politicians regard the scans – which show bodies naked under their clothes – as an infringement of privacy.
But Schiphol director Ad Rutten told the paper a new system has been developed which removes the need for human beings. ‘We have reached the point that computers can do the work, so no-one actually has to look a the pictures,’ he told the paper.
