Intruder killed in fight on a farm

A suspected burglar has died after being stabbed with a garden fork during a struggle with a man staying on a farm he was apparently trying to break into, the Telegraaf reports on Monday.

Police are still investigating the incident in the town of Nuenen, just north of Eindhoven in the early hours of Sunday morning. The farm is owned by a brother and sister in their 50s. The sister’s friend got into a fight with the intruder although the exact circumstances of the break-in remain very unclear, the Telegraaf says.
However, criminal law professor Geert-Jan Knoops told the Telegraaf the couple involved in the struggle will probably face criminal charges.
