More one-man firms in the Netherlands
The Netherlands was home to 844,000 companies at the beginning of this year, an increase of over 46,000 on January 2008, according to new figures from the national statistics office CBS.
The increase is largely due to the boom in one-man companies. In total, 471,000 firms in the Netherlands have just one employee, an increase of 33% on 2006, the CBS said.
