Death flight pilot in court in Spain

A pilot for Dutch airline Transavia will appear in court in Spain today in connection with Argentina’s request for his extradition because of his work for the military junta.

Julio Poch, who has Dutch and Argentine nationality, has made no secret of his job as a death flight pilot during the junta era. He was arrested in Spain two weeks ago.
One of the ways the dictatorship dealt with opponents was to drug them and throw them out of planes over the Atlantic ocean to drown. Argentina was ruled by the junta between 1976 and 1983.
