House prices continue to fall

The price of the average house in the Netherlands fell 5.6% in August, compared with a year ago, according to the latest figures from the national statistics office and land registry.


Detached homes fell the most in price – 7%. The price drop was recorded across the country, but was worst in Groningen, where prices were down by an average 7.8%.
The number of homes changing hands in August was down 38% on a year ago at 9.600.
