CDA popular again in latest opinion poll

The Christian Democrats (CDA), the biggest government coalition party, would once again win the most seats in parliament if an election was held now, according to an opinion poll published at the weekend.

The CDA gained one seat in the latest Maurice de Hond poll, bringing its new total to 32. In reality the party has 41 MPs in parliament.
The second largest partner in the coalition, Labour – which currently has 33 seats in parliament – saw its support fall to 15 seats in the latest opinion poll.
And the opposition Liberal Democrats (D66) saw their popularity grow to 21 seats, the party’s highest score in 13 years. The D66 currently has two MPs in the 150-seat lower house.
