PSV beat Bulgarians with narrow 1-0 victory

PSV Eindhoven booked a narrow victory as they kicked off their European League campaign on Thursday evening, beating Bulgaria’s Cherno More Varna 1-0.

Dirk Marcellis scored the winning goal in the last minute of the match on PSV’s home ground.
The game in PSV’s qualifying round was the first under the team’s new coach Fred Rutten who described it as a ‘meagre’ performance.
