AEX index up to highest point of the year
The Amsterdam share index AEX reached its highest point this year on Thursday morning reports the Trouw.
Better than expected second quarter results announced over the past few days have impacted positively on several European bourses.
On Thursday the AEX index was up 1% to almost 395 points, just beating the previous high which was registered on Monday.
The biggest winner on the AEX this morning was steel concern ArcelorMittal, which went up 4% after a significant fall on Wednesday, and postal firm TNT whose shares rose 3.5%.
