25% of goods trains have dangerous load

Some 25% of journeys made by goods trains on the Dutch railway involve dangerous loads, the AD reports on Thursday, quoting ProRail figures.


Last year, 22,500 of the 86,000 transports carried dangerous products, of which 4,400 were liquified petroleum gas.
The AD asked for the figures following the LPG train explosion in Italy
