Rabobank is graduate’s favourite employer
Cooperative bank Rabobank has overtaken Philips to become the most desirable employer under Dutch graduates with up to 10 years work experience, according to research by Intermediair magazine.
Intermediair says the credit crisis has strengthened Rabobank’s reputation because it is the only big bank not to have asked for state support.
Oil giant Shell is third on the list. Airline KLM has climbed to fifth place and a police career is also more popular, the survey shows.
Three out of five polled said they expected to stay working until they reached 65, and 41% said they expected to earn more than €45,000 a year. Almost 75% are looking for a ‘nice, challenging job’ with just 26% looking for a leadership role.
