Netherlands qualifies for World Cup
The Dutch national football team became the first to qualify for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa with a 2-1 win over Iceland on Saturday.
The victory means Oranje has had six wins out of six matches so far, with 14 goals for and only two against in its group 9 competition.
‘Everyone said that it was an easy group, but when you win six games in a row that deserves a big compliment,’ Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk told the Fifa website.
On Wednesday the squad takes on Norway and in September, Scotland.
The Netherlands is currently second in the Fifa world ranking.
