More green subsidies last year
The government extended 162,000 subsidies for boosting alternative energy supplies last year, costing a total €2.4bn, Nos tv reports on Thursday.
In total, spending on alternative energy sources rose 20% on 2007, Nos said. Companies were the main beneficiaries, but subsidies to buy solar panels were popular with private individuals.
